Denison Tree Removal

Twenty-one trees in six hours, cleaned up afterward: that is how one customer described a job by Denison Tree Removal. The company's website names a service area running through Bozrah, Colchester, Groton, Ledyard, Norwich, Stonington and other nearby towns, and says it has been in business 15 years. On Google it holds 5 stars from 182 ratings. When a tree fell on a customer's garage during a Nor'easter and a large branch punctured the roof, that customer said Jason Denison was the only contractor who picked up the phone, and his team had the tree removed and placed something "to keep us dry until a roofer could get on the roof." A customer with difficult terrain close to the house said they removed 13 fairly large trees, leaving nothing behind but stumps cut off at ground level. One homeowner asked for the large trunks to be left piled for firewood and the brush chipped and hauled away, and wrote "done" after each request. A customer who had five trees removed said that after the equipment stopped, they fired up leaf blowers and 45 minutes later the lawn looked better than when they arrived. A 2026 customer whose three trees had beech leaf disease and beech bark disease said they took great care to avoid damaging surrounding trees, landscaping and established garden beds. In a 2025 review, a customer described an oak almost 4 feet in diameter a few feet from the house, surrounded by wood fencing, chicken coops and a glass greenhouse; that 2025 customer said Jason came out to assess it and got the job done, right down to placing the logs next to the woodshed. A customer who gave four stars said the price was high, but they did what they said they would do, with minimal damage to the surrounding area.
