Divine Design Center runs an 8,000-square-foot showroom on Boston's Battery Wharf, and the names that keep coming up in its reviews aren't the company's — they're the designers who ran each project: Gaya, Samantha DeMarco, Jana Neudel. The company says it started as Divine Kitchens in 2004, founded by husband-and-wife team Mariette and Magued Barsoum; Mariette works as a Certified Kitchen Designer through the National Kitchen & Bath Association. The ratings hold up at scale: 4.9 out of 5 on Google across 78 ratings, and the same 4.9 on Houzz across 79, feeding an aggregate review score of 0.78 pulled from 49 reviews dating back to 2021. Its most recent review, from February 2026, follows the same thread — a homeowner referred by their general contractor, Core Group, credited designer Gaya with built-in cabinetry for a one-bedroom condo that went beyond what they'd asked for. Houzz also lists a run of industry recognition tied to the name: an NKBA Certified Kitchen Designer credential, a 2014 Prism Award, and Best of Boston honors for bath design. Most of what shows up in its reviews is kitchen work — planning a layout, sourcing European cabinetry, and carrying a design from concept through installation, sometimes alongside a homeowner's own general contractor. Bathroom design appears too, including a Boston Magazine nod for bath design, but with thinner support than the kitchen side; the one detailed bathroom complaint describes special-order vanities that arrived damaged, where Divine offered a repair rather than a replacement and the customer called that unacceptable. Its Better Business Bureau page separately notes a malfunctioning item and a follow-up that didn't resolve it — BBB grades the business A+ but does not list it as accredited. Divine reads like a solid call for a kitchen or bath project where cabinetry and layout matter as much as the build; before signing on, ask directly how they'd handle a damaged or defective special order.

We had a fantastic experience with Gaya from Divine Design. Our general contractor, Core Group, introduced us to Gaya once they learned of the ideas we had for built-ins in our relatively small one bedroom condo. Gaya activity listened to our vision and far exceeded our expectations on the design. Not only did she design cabinets with vast amounts of storage but she also introduced us to incredible wall paper that is actually art. We are incredibly happy with the outcome and grateful to Gaya and the team from the Core Group who did an outstanding job.

We found Devine Design from a google search, so our decision to use them to design our apartment was a huge leap of faith for us. Boy did it pay off. Arianna worked with us to redesign our kitchen, living area and sitting room, basically the entire apartment other than the bedrooms. Her design ideas, which she showed us using virtual 3D renderings, were amazing. She created a magnificent sitting room/library in a space that is quite small and was previously unused, designed a sleek and beautiful kitchen, and created a modern, yet warm, living area through the use of unique built-ins (utilizing different shades and textures), a modern fireplace and tv viewing area, and perfect furniture. All of this was done with our taste in mind, listening to feedback and adjusting in a way other designers I have used have not done. Additionally, the owner of Devine Design, Mariette, owns a millwork company they used to make our cabinets and all of the bookshelves. The quality is outrageous, the best I have seen anywhere, with details that are truly unique. We could not be happier with how our apartment turned out!

WOW is all I can say! Gaya was an amazing designer to work with and understood our incredibly picky and detail oriented needs and desires! She delivered the EXACT kitchen we wanted. Further, in areas where we needed design inspiration and rethinking, she delivered. Our pantry and my desk area are greatly improved. And the Arrital cabinetry proved a fantastic solution that checked all of the boxes for us. Every aspect exudes quality and we couldn't be happier. She and her associate Tom were wonderful to work with and there is nothing that we were disappointed with or didn't meet our expectations...and that is saying ALOT! Further her photorealistic renderings were so close to how the actual kitchen now looks that it was truly amazing! It looks exactly like the renderings! Highly recommend Divine and Gaya and team for a kitchen renovation. They are TOP quality and inspired designers.

We really enjoyed working with Gaya! She has an excellent eye and wasn't afraid to work with our style. She showed us adventurous colors and finishes, and greatly expanded the size of our kitchen while keeping the same footprint. Cooking in it now is an absolute joy! Thanks so much, Gaya!

What a transformation Samantha DeMarco did to my small inefficient kitchen! She designed outside the literal old kitchen box and gave me a new kitchen that’s modern with plenty of counterspace and fits all the appliances that I wanted. Now the whole space is airy and it drastically improves the entire living area. Samantha listens to my needs and communicates well. Her designs are fantastic. She was there when the counter guys were there to help better design the backsplash. I highly recommend Samantha and Divine Design.
