Bath Fitter's West Bridgewater location does one thing — tub-to-shower conversions and full bath surrounds — and the reviews describe a genuinely large team doing it on a near-daily basis: installer Patrick Swarce comes up more than almost anyone else, credited across dozens of jobs for careful, communicative work, alongside Carlos, Tim, Dustin, Bobby, and sales staff Mario Conde and Linda Roth. The company holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration and an A+, accredited Better Business Bureau rating. The recurring story in the reviews is the one-day install: a crew arrives in the morning, removes an old tub or fiberglass surround, and leaves by afternoon with a finished walk-in shower, repeatedly described as happening exactly as scheduled, with cleanup included. Several customers are repeat buyers, coming back for a second or third bathroom after a first project went well. Not every account is smooth. In a 2022 review, a customer described a 3-by-3-foot shower that was supposed to take a day taking two months, with wrong initial measurements and damage to the bathroom ceiling and floor. In a 2024 review, a West Bridgewater customer described a scheduled appointment that was simply a no-show, with no call. Another 2024 review described a warranty dispute over a crack in an older installation, where a technician who came to look at it said the original work wasn't done by this company at all — a disagreement that was never resolved in the review. The written record shows two different Google rating snapshots taken weeks apart — one showing 127 ratings averaging 4.7 stars, another showing 251 ratings averaging 4.9 — which don't reconcile cleanly with each other; both are presented here rather than picking one. Recent activity is strong: the last six months added 18 reviews with nothing negative among them, describing the same pattern of on-time crews, thorough cleanup, and design consultants who reviewers say explain pricing clearly upfront. For a straightforward tub-to-shower or full bath-surround replacement, the West Bridgewater team has a long track record behind it; the handful of older complaints on file are worth knowing about, but they're outliers against a much larger, more recent pattern of on-schedule, well-reviewed installs.
I had a serious problem in my bathroom and Bathfitters was the best solution for me. The finish product was amazing! I had a good fortune of meeting Stephen Hernandez who came up from Arizona to do the job. thank you, Stephen!
So far very positive experience with replacing a 35 year old fiberglass tub/ shower with a walk in shower. Carlos a responsible and careful installer. Company responded to a favorable review with a promise to fix a remaining glitch that the local installer is not responsible for with a quick correction when we return from a summer holiday. A very good job from a responsible installer.
Stephen was professional, worked like a machine, thorough, detailed, great job!
I needed to update a bathroom in our house that was my about 50 years old. This is the second time that I’ve used Bathfitter, and I was completely satisfied both times. This particular bathtub had a tricky wall at the end of it, and Patrick did an amazing job!! It looks perfect! Patrick and Mark did a really nice job, all in one day!
Great job from estimating (John) to the install done by Steve and his team. Office support team is helpful too. I will be using them again for another bathroom.
