Mike, the owner of Drywall Unlimited, has been doing drywall work in southern New Hampshire since 2005 — the company's own history has him deciding that winter to start the business, and its site lists a service area spanning towns from Manchester and Derry to Amherst and Milford. Twenty-one reviews since 2021 point to one steady theme: homeowners hire Mike for drywall hanging, taping, repairs, finishing, priming, and painting, and most come away impressed with the craftsmanship. The specifics repeat across the years. A 2025 review described Mike and his crew repairing and texturing large ceiling patches from a plumbing leak, calling the result "better than original" and reasonably priced. Another described a full 700-square-foot basement drywall job, with Mike suggesting framing improvements before starting. Multiple reviewers from 2021 through 2023 mention him fitting them in on short notice — same-day estimates, weekend work to hit a deadline, squeezing a job in around another contractor's delay — and one repeat customer describes hiring him for a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living and dining room over several projects, calling each one immaculate. A review from April 2026, the most recent, praised a ceiling repair and paint job as thorough and well-suggested. Pricing is the one place reviews disagree, not the quality of the work itself. Several reviewers, including a couple who hired him for full rooms or additions, called the price fair or within budget once he'd seen the job. But phone-only quotes have drawn complaints: a 2022 review said a verbal estimate for a garage came in at $7,600, about twice two other bids the customer had gotten, and a March 2025 review also described a disagreement over a price Mike gave by phone before a site visit. Google currently shows a 4.3-star rating from 30 total ratings. New Hampshire doesn't license drywall contractors, so there's nothing to verify there — what stands out about Mike's business comes from what customers describe, not a credential. Given the pattern above, it's worth asking him to see the space in person and confirm the number before booking off a phone estimate alone, especially on a larger job.
Mike does a great job. He is very thorough and accommodating. Ceiling repair and paint look great. He is very knowledgeable and makes great suggestions, which we took.
Mike did an absolutely stellar job on both a new drywall installation and some tricky renovation repairs in older areas of the house. His craftsmanship is top-notch. What really stood out was his attention to detail and care for the existing space. Whether it was blending new work into old walls or finishing fresh installs, the results are seamless. It’s rare to find someone who’s both skilled and reliable, but Mike is exactly that. He communicated clearly throughout the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to anyone looking for quality drywall work.
Had large patches in ceiling due to plumbing leak. Mike and his crew did an expert job repairing and texturing. Better than original! Great guys to work with. Reasonably priced.
We reached out to multiple Drywall Contractors for our renovation project. We soke with Mike, the owner over the phone and went over all the details. Showed him the plans discussed the changes, and he gave us a "Preliminary Quote". Over the phone we discussed the price, and he was adamant he did not need to come out until the job was framed and ready for him to make final measurements so he could order the materials. Even during the in-person measurements, he didn't make any inclination that the price would change. A week before he was scheduled to start the job his price all of a sudden went up 60%! This was thousands more than he quoted. I HIGHLY suggest choosing a different contractor for your drywall project. I have all of the documents to back this up. BAIT AND SWITCH!
My wife and I hired Drywall Unlimited to drywall our newly framed 700 Sq ft unfinished basement to turn it into a new living room and bedroom. Mike came by and suggested some framing improvements, set the ground rules for what he needed to ensure I got the best end results possible, and within days we had drywall delivered into our basement, a crew showed up and had the drywall hung in half a day and mike spent about a week taping, mudding, sanding, cleaning, and priming and even though we haven't done flooring or any finish painting, the place looks incredible. Mike's a very personable guy, extremely communicative about what is happening and when, and is great at what he does. Should we ever find ourselves in need of drywall work, we'll be calling Mike, and you should too.
