Earle W. Noyes & Sons is a moving and storage company whose BBB profile says it was established in 1923 and incorporated in Maine in 1947. The same profile describes local and long distance moving and storage, plus a self-storage facility. On Google it holds 4.7 stars from 234 ratings, and its BBB page shows an A+ grade. One customer chose Noyes for a move from Boothbay to a new home in Greensboro, GA. The packing and loading crews spent two days at the house, and the delivery was timed for three days after the closing on the new property. That customer said the delivery team arrived at the appointed time and worked in very hot conditions, with the driver, Mark H., and a crew of three led by Marvin Z. A customer who called Mark very professional said everything was delivered and moved as promised. One customer appreciated the work and care that went into packing. One customer said the company never scheduled the move date with the receiving company, which put delivery in doubt until a last-minute cancellation freed a slot. A week after delivery, the same customer got a call saying the load had been underestimated in the quote and more money was owed. A one-star Google review calls the company's responsiveness "shockingly poor."

“They moved my small-med sized business. They were perfect!”
Shockingly poor responsiveness
We selected Noyes on the recommendation of a friend who also used them. Our experience at both ends of the move was excellent. From the beginning, Becky was especially helpful in getting scheduling set up. The packing and loading crews in Boothbay were professional, thorough, and courteous during their 2-days at our home. The delivery at our new residence in Greensboro, GA was timed to occur just 3 days after we closed on the property. The delivery team arrived precisely at the appointed time and began their work under very hot working conditions. The driver, Mark H., is a very experienced man who hires only the very best team for the delivery process. His crew of 3 men, led by Marvin Z., was courteous, highly experienced, & energetic, and worked together very well as a team. Mark H. is clearly a valuable asset to Noyes. His professionalism and wicked sense of humor make him enjoyable to work with. We are still unpacking the large number of boxes and haven't come across any significant damage issues, but there's still a long way to go. Based on our experience with the folks from Noyes, we highly recommend them to anyone needing the services of a professional moving team.
The team was quick, efficient and friendly. We really appreciate the work and care that went into packing us.
Mark was very professional. This was the most positive moving experience I have ever had! No issues and everything was delivered and moved as they promised.
My experience with this company was terrible. Months before my move date and items were picked up, I confirmed multiple time regarding the latest guaranteed date my items would arrive. I was provided a date and told it was already scheduled with the receiving company so there was nothing to worry about. I followed up with this company on Monday the week my items were supposedly scheduled to be delivered. First they lied about when my items had actually arrived at the destination, then I found out someone at their company never scheduled my move date with the receiving company. Because of this, I was told that I would have to wait additional time for my items to be delivered. I spent almost a week going through the stress of not knowing when my belongings would be delivered. Luckily the receiving company had a last minute cancellation and I was able to get my things in time. Note: I wasn’t aware this was going to happen until 8am in the morning when things were supposed to show up and I got a phone call. This company offered nothing in return for the stress my family and pregnant wife were put through because of their mistake. I never asked for anything and moved on because I had dealt with them enough and gone through plenty of stress. A week after my items were delivered, I get a call from this company saying that they underestimated the load in my quote and I had to pay more money. I told them this needed to be escalated and I was not paying more. The individual who I requested to escalate the issue apparently never did anything because more than a month went by and I had no contact. Now I get an email from Mayflower more than a month after my move saying I still owe them money and an invoice was sent to me. I never received anything and this company refuses to accept responsibility for their mistakes. If you book through United or Mayflower be aware that this company will more than likely be dealing with your pickup.
