Efficient Housekeeping

Efficient Housekeeping, founded and led by Jackie, has cleaned Cape Cod and Martha's Vineyard homes since 2010 by its own account. On Google it holds a 4.9★ average from 52 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau gives it an A grade. The reviews describe two things this company leans on: thorough deep cleans and flexibility for short-notice and short-term-rental jobs. A recent review lists a job that covered the entire house, closet organizing, a deep clean of the oven, and pressure washing the deck and patio; a 2024 review describes a pre-move-in clean that got "inside the light fixtures and every baseboard", and another 2024 review similarly lists scrubbing the fridge exterior, light fixture glass, the hearth, the ceiling fan, and the sliding glass door. Several reviewers specifically use the company for vacation-rental turnovers — a 2025 review describes laundry service for a Falmouth rental, and a 2024 review describes weekly cleanings arranged around short-term renters. More than one review credits Jackie with responding on short notice when other local companies canceled or didn't show. One 2023 review describes a starkly different experience — a booking that was never confirmed by a call-back, paired with what the reviewer called an obnoxious, condescending attitude. It's an outlier against an otherwise five-star record, but worth knowing about. Efficient Housekeeping looks like a solid fit for a deep clean, a move-in or move-out job, or ongoing turnover cleaning for a rental property, particularly on the Cape and Islands where it says it's worked since 2010.
