Snow is half the story here. A March 2026 Google reviewer in Ridgefield wrote that they have used Eight Lanes for snow plowing for over five years, that Hernan and his crew show up on time even during the early morning hours, clearing everything down to the pavement, and that Hernan keeps them in the loop when storms are coming.
Eight Lanes Landscaping works out of 6 Thorpe St in Danbury, CT, and its website lists a service area that includes Danbury, Ridgefield, New Milford, Bethel, Newtown and Brookfield. The company reports 6 years in business and offers free estimates. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0665987, is active on the state registry. Google shows 5 stars from 43 ratings, Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.3 stars from 23 ratings, and the BBB grades it A+.
The work customers describe goes well past mowing. A July 2026 Google reviewer described power washing, concrete belgium block pavers for the driveway, a mesh-wire barrier around the house to keep animals from burrowing under it, and extended drains. In a March 2026 review, a customer had Eight Lanes clear debris from a storage shed destroyed by a fallen tree, prepare a gravel pad and assemble a new wood framed storage shed, all within the time and dollar amount estimated. Another March 2026 reviewer hired Eight Lanes to renovate a garage floor, wood fence, deer fence and mudroom entrance, and a third that month was very happy with a new front walkway, stairs and retaining wall. In a November 2025 Angi review, a customer described a very big yard clean-up of an overgrown yard, with weeds, leaves, vines, brush and small tree stumps removed, the crew cleaning up daily and the quote very competitive against a number of bids.
Long relationships come up too: an April 2026 reviewer wrote that Hernan had been handling their landscaping and snowplowing for about 10 years for both of their houses.
The complaints are about showing up. In a May 2026 Angi review, a customer wrote that he said he would be at the house on a Tuesday by 8:30, never showed up and never answered texts or calls. An April 2025 Angi reviewer described horrible communication and multiple times not showing to complete the work promised, and in a June 2022 Angi review, a customer who had toured the property and agreed on a price and start date wrote that he never showed or replied to calls or texts. In a June 2023 review, a customer wrote that it took a little while to work out the schedule, though Hernan responded to texts fairly quickly.
