Elite Construction & Design is a Fitchburg general contractor whose current work is mostly not residential. Its own website describes a design-build firm serving commercial, industrial, institutional and multifamily clients — pre-construction, project management, insurance restoration and facility maintenance — and names no home remodeling at all. The Better Business Bureau, which grades it A+ without accrediting it, records a wider picture supplied by the company itself: custom kitchens, baths, home repairs and interior design alongside commercial and industrial contracting. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 203710, is active and verified against the state registry. The company is 22 years old on the BBB's record — started in June 2004, incorporated in 2006 — and is run by president Matthew Fournier. It is visible in Fitchburg's downtown redevelopment: MassDevelopment awarded $75,000 to 409 Main Street LLC, an affiliate, to rehabilitate a Main Street building that had sat vacant for 13 years, adding a ground-floor commercial storefront with four apartments above. The homeowner-facing record, though, is very small: three reviews, all five stars, none of them recent. The most detailed, from November 2021, covers a fire-damage rebuild in Boston through the Covid-era material shortages — that customer wrote that Elite offered upgraded material at no additional cost when shortages forced changes, and that there was no nickel-and-diming. Another the same month praised the professionalism and workmanship, saying their six-year-old still asked when Pat and Rob were coming back. A February 2024 reviewer described the coordination on a multi-faceted commercial office renovation covering wall demolition, electrical and data. BuildZoom lists a single permit for the company — a $16,254 commercial overhead-door replacement in Sterling, completed July 2025 — and no reviews.
