Emmons Tree & Landscaping Service is a tree company that, by its own account, was founded in April 2001 by owner and operator Shawn Emmons after he studied arboriculture at SUNY Morrisville. On its BBB page, the company describes itself as full-service tree care: removals, pruning, fertilizing, spraying and tick treatments, stump grinding and tree planting.
A recent Google customer says they showed up, knocked the job out quickly, cleaned up, and even saved the mulch. A 2025 customer wrote that the tree crew showed up on time and cleaned up as they worked, with the stumps left to be ground down at a later date. A 2025 customer said Emmons had taken down, trimmed and treated trees for them for years, and that Shawn came to the house within a few days to answer questions about a tree they had been treating.
A 2023 customer said Emmons removed 4 trees and removed the debris from the property the day they finished working. A 2022 customer wrote that Emmons removed one tree with storm damage, that the crew was on time, and that hardly a wood chip was left on the ground.
Its BBB grade is A+, and it holds 4.9 stars from 27 Google ratings.
