One Medway homeowner, writing in 2017, said she picked this company after watching an episode of Extreme Makeover in which Matt Fasolino and his crew helped replicate Fenway Park in a Medfield family's back yard. Ten years of work followed — a sprinkler system and well, a stone wall with patio, then mowing, mulching, snow removal and tree pruning. That is the shape of this business: it designs a yard, builds it, and then keeps showing up.
Fasolino Landscape Design & Construction sits on Route 109 in Medway. The BBB dates the corporation to 1994, puts its headcount at 10 and names Matt Fasolino as owner; the company's own site says it has worked Medway and the towns around it for over 30 years. The work runs from planting design through hardscape — paver driveways, walkways, stone walls, outdoor kitchens, pizza ovens, fire pits, ponds and waterfalls — plus irrigation, low-voltage lighting, hydroseeding, lawn installation, tree removal, excavating, mulch and loam delivery, and winter plowing and sanding. Its own site says a designer is on every major job, and names a USSG certified landscape designer as head of the design team.
The reviews are few but unusually detailed, and they all cluster in 2017 and early 2018 — 4.8 from six ratings on Houzz. One customer that March listed the whole job: patio, front steps and walkway, a second patio and fire pit, landscape lighting, spring clean-up and mulch, a 15-zone, 70-head irrigation system, and plantings around a new gazebo. Another described the design team turning ideas about a shed path into a back yard she called a work of art in January 2018. The one four-star review, from a customer of about seven years at the time, is the most useful: professional, good work, and if there is a problem they make it right.
The things to weigh. Nothing written by a customer has appeared since January 2018, so the review record is eight years old even though the company plainly kept trading — a 2007 MetroWest Daily News piece on plow contractors quoted its office manager, and the BBB file is current. Its stated tenure also moves around: over 20 years on Houzz, over 30 on its own site, 32 on the BBB. And the A+ BBB grade comes without accreditation, which is common but worth knowing. No complaints or government actions are published anywhere here.
The right call for a designed yard rather than a mow-and-blow contract — especially if you want hardscape, planting and irrigation coordinated by one outfit that will also plow you in February. Ask to see 2025 or 2026 projects rather than the Houzz galleries, and get the designer named on the contract.
