They called several contractors; Chris Ferragamo was one of the few who called back, came the next day, quoted the best price, and ordered the materials and pulled the permit that same day. The crew turned up the week he said they would. That is the shape of the praise here: responsiveness and paperwork handled properly, on the kind of job where both matter. The company works out of 9 Summer Street in Wakefield. The BBB has accredited it since 2010 at an A+, records a 1996 start, and names Chris R Ferragamo as manager of operations — a one-employee LLC by the BBB's count, which squares with reviews describing a small crew Chris follows up on himself. Houzz lists 46 Massachusetts towns as its service area and carries the company's own description as a three-generation family business. The work spans more than the exterior trades it sits under. Roofing and siding come up most: a September 2025 customer had a roof replaced, and a March 2025 client who had already had trim and roofing done brought them back to side a relative's house, noting the yard was left clean. Beyond that come additions, structural work, decks and porches, windows and doors, finish carpentry and flooring. One May 2024 job was a kitchen range fit-out that needed electrical work and laminate cut to width, finished in a single five-hour push. Two things to weigh. Angi and HomeAdvisor carry the same thirteen reviews rather than two independent sets, so the 4.9 rests on one slim body of opinion — and eight of those thirteen were written back in 2016. Nothing in them is negative, which is worth knowing and also worth testing. Call them for a roof, siding, an addition or structural work where a permit is involved. The Ferragamo team did a terrific job on my roof replacement. Very professional and detail oriented for a reasonable price. Highly recommend Chris and his team.
Ferragamo custom builders had done trim work and a roofing job for me in the past. They did a great job so when a family member wanted to vinyl side their home we called them back! Ferragamo custom builders did an outstanding job on both the house and leaving the yard clean. nice job!
I had a small kitchen project. My old stove broke down and I couldn't find a new one with the same dimensions. All new kitchen ranges are larger. The project required a lot of electrical work, as well as widening the space by cutting laminate and making the new stove looks like custom made in my kitchen. The Ferragamo's team did a great job, finishing the project after 5 hours non-stop work and cleaning before leaving. I highly recommend them.
We were extremely pleased with the work we had done. They were highly skilled, professional, neat and courteous. Went above and beyond to finish the job as promised. They made sure to clean up the work area before leaving. We would recommend Chris without hesitation.
My husband and I were in need of a contractor to remove a load baring wall and install a support beam to widen an entrance in our home. We contacted numerous contractors and Chris Ferragamo was one of the few to get back to us. Chris was able to come the next day to evaluate the project. We told him what we envisioned and our budget for the project. Not only was he the most knowledgeable contractor that came to evaluate the job, he also had the best pricing. When we agreed to move forward he was very accommodating to our schedules. He was able to order the materials and pull the permit that day. His workers came the following week at the time he said they would be there. They were quick, efficient, and polite. Chris followed up that same day to ensure the project went smoothly which it did. We will be using them for future projects.
