First Call Drywall & Plastering is a Chelsea, Massachusetts drywall and plaster crew fronted by Henry Rodriguez, whom Thumbtack lists as its background-checked pro. The company's Thumbtack profile says it has 13 years in business and 5 employees; its own Angi profile self-reports 11 years of experience. On Thumbtack, the company holds a 4.7-star average across 11 reviews, 82% of them five-star. In a 2023 review, a homeowner called Henry's work on a wall removal, a door-frame cut-out and a ceiling replacement "outstanding," and praised his professionalism on what the reviewer called a lot of work. A 2022 review said the ceilings and walls he worked on looked phenomenal, and another from the same year described fair pricing, good communication and a cleaned-up job site. A 2021 review likewise praised excellent work and called him a big help moving items during prep. A separate 2021 review, though, said cleanup fell short — plaster was still turning up on furniture and floors weeks after the job. A good match for drywall repair, plaster work, or a wall-and-ceiling demo and rebuild; ask how they'll protect furniture and flooring during the job, and confirm current pricing before booking.
Henry is outstanding — I couldn’t be happier with the work he performed, and the professionalism with which he performed it. We had him remove a wall, cut out a door frame, replace a ceiling, and repair other areas around windows: a lot of work! He was extremely fair with his estimates, communicated clearly, and was dependable when it came time to do the work. He even accommodated a few surprise requests midway through, and put in additional time to finish the job to his standards, treating the job as if it were his own. Through it all, his attitude was wonderful. This guy is out there truly hustling to build a solid business and it was a great decision to have supported him. We’ll be hiring him again for more work elsewhere in the house.
Henry was great. Our ceilings and walls looked phenomenal.
Great work .. great to communicate with fair price great quality covered the floors and cleaned everything up will hire again thank you
Great at responding, not great at cleanup. Weeks later and I’m still finding plaster on $3k chairs, tables, my floors, and more.
Excellent work done. A big help handling some extra things that needed to be moved and removed from the room during prep. Good all-around knowledge and experience.
