FIRST STEP LANDSCAPING

First Step Landscaping describes itself on Houzz as landscape contractors servicing the Norwalk area. Its website lists custom lawn care programs, tree and shrub care, organic fertilizer and core aeration, landscape lighting, flower bed maintenance, and lawn installation with seed and sod, and the company says it has been in business 30 years. A 2025 customer wrote that they had worked with First Step Landscaping for well over 15 years and had recently started the first phase of a "natural habitat" planting project with Luis Castaneda. A 2025 reviewer listed seeding, tree removal and maintenance among the work, and said Luis, the owner, explained and oversaw every aspect of their projects. A 2025 customer wrote that Luis and his team had taken care of their property for the last 8 years and called the company competitively priced. A 2025 customer said the work was always done neatly and correctly, and that Luis's daughters managed the office. A recent Google customer recommended them for their service and employees. A westportjournal.com article names Castaneda, of First Step Landscaping in Norwalk, as the landscaper who sought a waiver of a town's policy on encroachments on town property, which would have allowed a wall to stand.
