The reviews for Foley Painting keep circling the same thing: people hire Kevin again. A customer writing in August 2023 was on a fourth job with him; one in May 2025 said he had done work for them for over a decade; another in July 2025 had used him three times in six years, starting with the interior of a Weymouth home back in 2019. Kevin, described by a January 2026 customer as the owner, runs the Whitman shop with a crew, and the work lands on both sides of the house. Inside: a June 2024 whole-house repaint of 3,500 square feet where Sheetrock was repaired before the walls and ceilings were painted, and a June 2023 job that took 30-plus-year-old wallpaper off a steep hallway, then patched the soft spots, sanded and primed. Outside, decks come up often. A July 2025 customer had one stained that had never been stained before and had dried out; a June 2025 customer had front and back decks done that had gone more than eight years without stain, and said the price beat all the competition. In September 2024 another customer had the house washed and the front door and garage doors painted, and in October 2023 an exterior job included replacing some rotted wood. Getting hold of him is a recurring note. The January 2026 customer said he picked up the call right away and stopped by the same day; one in August 2023 said Kevin answered on the second ring; another that month said he had worked them into his schedule on short notice. Price draws the same kind of comment — competitive in an October 2023 exterior job, reasonable in an August 2023 one. The jobs described run from a single bedroom to a whole interior, and from cabinet repainting to power washing, so the useful question at estimate time is scope. A June 2024 customer had grimy old oak cabinets repainted along with the ceiling, walls and trim; a December 2024 customer uses the company for painting and pressure washing both. Ask which of the prep — patching, sanding, priming, washing — is inside your number. For a South Shore house that needs its interior done in one pass, or a deck that has gone years without stain, this is a straightforward call. Get the estimate in writing with the prep spelled out, and settle up front whether washing or staining is part of the price.
