Four Star Lighting & Electrical is the kind of shop homeowners keep calling back to, not just once. In a November 2025 review, one customer said they'd used the company for electrical work since 2014, with the same electrician, Curt Julian, handling several remodeling jobs along the way; in a July 2025 review, another described seven years maintaining an old Victorian multi-family property and its carriage-house office. The company, based in Lowell, MA, says it's a family-owned, second-generation electrical contractor serving Middlesex County and the wider Merrimack Valley, Greater Boston, and southern New Hampshire. Its Massachusetts and New Hampshire electrician licenses are both active with the state boards, held by Joseph A. Silverio. It also lists a Maine license on its own site, though that one hasn't been checked against a state registry. The reviews keep circling back to a handful of jobs. A November 2022 review describes a full home rewire with a panel replacement and new lighting, plus a separate visit to wire security cameras. Two reviews describe EV charger installs — a September 2025 one specifically names a Tesla charger, with the reviewer noting the crew explained issues and options rather than pushing an upsell. Lighting work shows up often too, from exit-sign panels to recessed and outdoor fixtures. Its Google rating sits at 4.8 stars from 31 ratings, and the BBB gives it an A+. Worth knowing before you call: a May 2026 one-star Google review reads only 'Bad drivers,' with nothing about any actual electrical work — an outlier next to the detailed, consistently positive history around it. There's also a small mismatch worth asking about: the company's site describes 'over 50 years' in the trade, while its BBB listing shows 25 years in business under its current name. This is a solid call for panel work, rewiring, EV charger installs, and lighting jobs, especially if you're the type who wants the same electrician back for the next project — several reviewers clearly are. Confirm current licensing status yourself before booking.
Four Star Lighting never disappoints. They are professional, timely, thorough, respectful and complete a job well done.

Curt and his team at Four Star set the standard for excellence. Kirsten in the office is always prompt to respond to service requests and they're electricians do quality work. We are so thankful to have a partner like Four Star in the industry!
I have been using Four Star for all of my electrical needs since 2014 and I cannot say enough good things about them. I have done several remodeling jobs since then and Curt Julian has been my electrician through all of them from big to small. He is professional, polite, respectful and has great suggestions. I am about to embark on another project and I did not hesitate to call Four Star.
Have used Four Star as an electrician in Wilmington MA multiple times for small electrical issues as well as installation of a Tesla charger. Can't recommend highly enough - work is great / lasts a long time, they take the time to explain issues and options (not just upsell) and clearly have a high level of expertise.
