A first-time homeowner with a tight budget wrote in December 2025 that Shawn Summey quoted the same chimney work at more than 50% below the price they had already been given. That is the shape of most accounts here: a chimney problem, a clear explanation of what it actually needs, and a number that comes in under what the last company wanted. Full Spectrum Chimney Services works out of Framingham on inspections, sweeping, repairs, masonry and liners, with Shawn — Sean in half the reviews — usually paired with a second technician, Roger. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. The company says its technicians are CSIA certified and claims more than 20 years in the trade, and Angi's listing shows free estimates with no emergency service and no warranty offered. Customers keep describing being shown the problem rather than told about it. A June 2026 homeowner said Shawn walked them through the work with a video of the flue; a December 2025 customer said a camera showed how bad the inside of the chimney really was before any decision was made. A September 2025 customer on Angi got an estimate with photographs attached, and then had exterior bricks replaced and repointed, the chimney resealed, the cap swapped and the whole liner replaced on a house from the late 1800s. The bigger jobs run on a schedule people notice. A customer who needed a chimney rebuilt on an 1860 home in August 2026 said the crew was there 8 to 5 every day and left the site spotless. Another in August 2026 had a section of unnecessary brickwork removed, the rest repointed and a large new cap fitted once the order came in. Urgent work gets picked up quickly too: in an October 2025 review, a homeowner whose plumber failed the chimney during a boiler replacement said Shawn came the day after they spoke and relined it. For an inspection you can trust, a reline, or brickwork on an old chimney, this is a strong call. Note there is no after-hours service or warranty on the listings — so agree in writing what the price covers and what happens if the repair needs revisiting.
Great service and excellent experience working with Shawn on the masonry repair project. Shawn is very friendly and very professional, I highly recommend his services.
Shawn and Roger were amazing. Shawn came out on time for estimate and very honest and reasonable. Came up with terrific plan to fix chimney and install new large cap. Removed a section of bricks that was no longer needed and pointed were needed as well. Order came in quickly and Shawn scheduled us right away. Showed up on time and he a Roger worked very hard all day long in the 96+ degree temperature today. Excellent work and super clean afterward. He even made sure to use booties over shoes when he came in to check the flu, and filled in the corner of a step for me while here. I would hire him again in a heartbeat, and will be doing in the future for pointing.
Aside from being two of the nicest gentlemen we have ever met, Shawn and Roger are extreme professionals. We needed a chimney rebuild for our 1860 home. The quote was extremely affordable, they were promptly at our home each day, they worked diligently from 8-5 each day, their craftsmanship is exemplary, and upon leaving you could never tell they had been here, cleaned up spotlessly!! If there were a 100 star rating, I would give them 300, Full Spectrum Chimney Services is eh very best in their field, as a nervous and skeptical consumer I can say without hesitation, Shawn and Roger absolutely cannot be beat, don’t even bother wasting your time with anyone else. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you boys, well done!!
