GMG Lawn & Landscape

It’s taken me some time to write this review because I truly value and respect hardworking local businesses, and GMG came highly recommended by a friend. However, after much thought, I feel it’s important to share our experience. We typically handle our own yard work, but after a busy year, we decided to hire professionals to help with a spring clean-up, laying weed paper, and mulching our garden beds. At the estimate, we specifically discussed weed control as a top priority and were clear that weed paper would be essential due to the persistent growth in our beds. Garrett was professional and courteous during our consultation, and we were excited about the upcoming work. We paid in full, in cash, on the first day of what was a multi-day project. Unfortunately, it became clear soon after the job was completed that the weed paper was never laid. Within days, the beds were overrun with weeds, which was the very issue we hired help to avoid. We reached out to GMG multiple times and were told they’d return to address it, but after several weeks and no follow-through, we’re giving up. To be fair, GMG did a great job clearing our backyard — a more challenging area with heavy debris — and we’re grateful for that part of the work. But the lack of communication and follow-up, especially after full payment, left us feeling disappointed and, frankly, taken advantage of. We’re now left having to redo the garden beds ourselves — both in time and cost — which is what we hoped to avoid by hiring professionals in the first place.

They did a great job on our walkway. We changed some details mid way thru and they couldn’t have been more understanding and flexible. I will definitely be using them for my next project.

It was a pleasure working with Garret he came over and leveled and hydro seeded my lawn should up when he said he was coming very nice and easy going to talk to and he did a phenomenal job!! Thanks Garret
