Driveways and parking lots are the bread and butter at Gray's Paving and Asphalt Plant in Newport, Vermont, and its Google page shows 5 stars from 20 ratings. The company says it has been in business 42 years and lists its service area as Newport, Barton, Saint Johnsbury and the Northeast Kingdom. Its BBB page carries an A+ grade, and its BBB description covers commercial and residential asphalt paving, repair and patching, resurfacing and sealcoating. On one parking lot job the team took their time to lay out the grades, and after a large rainstorm the night after they finished, there was not a single puddle. A Lyndon Center customer replacing 26-year-old driveway pavement took bids from 3 area paving companies and said Gray's offered a very competitive price. In East Burke Village, Gray's repaired a section of sidewalk slated for replacement, with all of the work done by hand. A residential development had about 2,555 linear feet repaved, and that customer credited Mark and his team with the planning, communication and post-paving follow-up. On a separate job, a large area was repaved and striped in less than a week. Price is not always the lowest. One driveway customer got 3 quotes and said Gray's was the highest, then went with it after looking at completed projects from the other two.
Grays Paving team is a joy to work with. The finished product is perfect - was blown away ! They are professionals all around from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone paving their driveway.

We had a great first meeting with Mark, very accommodating. The team took their time to lay out the grades and the job came out perfect. We had a large rainstorm the night after they finished and there was not a single puddle in the parking lot which was great to see. Communication with Jenny (office) and Mark was excellent. CLASS ACT!! The entire crew ( from the owner that came to the site and gave the quote, the office staff and the crew on site) were very professional. The on-site crew were very conscientious and accommodating. They knew exactly what to do and how to achieve the end result I was looking for. I obtained 3 quotes for my project, Gray's was the highest. After looking at completed projects from the other 2, it was an easy decision to go with Gray's. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the finished product and have highly recommended them to at least 3 other people that are looking to have driveway work done. Thanks again Gray's for a very professional job well done.
