A recent one-star Google review concerns a new lawn install with seeding of grass and wildflowers. That customer describes miscalculations of the loam needed and incorrect seed, calls the result "a disaster" with "80% crab and barn grass; few flowers", and says Brian refused to come over and discuss the work in person.
My review was apparently removed as google is only allowing 5 star comments? Let me summarize. I had a new job to be done by Brian which was a new lawn install with seeding of grass and wildflowers. My main question for Brian was if this was beyond his skill set. He reassured me that he could easily do the project. What ensued was a series of miscalculations of loam needed as well as using the incorrect seed for the project. I offered to pay for the work done was declined and unfortunately he felt he could successfully complete the job. This was a folly on my part. From the quality of the seeding (80% crab and barn grass; few flowers) to the quality of the loam, it was a disaster. Listen... the land across the street from me was torn up by the electric company. They seeded new grass. The result was that that area looks like a putting green compared to what Brian did. I asked he to come over and discuss his work in person. He refused. From my perspective, Brian -- while well-meaning--- lacks the skill set to do a job professionally. For the record, his quote was "in the middle" so I was not intentionally going "cheap". Avoid. There are more competent landscapers.
I had high expectations based on the positive reviews and Brian’s own assurances of his experience. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. From the initial miscalculation of the loam and seed needed to complete the project to his refusal to meet and discuss the unresolved issues, the experience was deeply disappointing. Additional concerns exist but are beyond the scope of this review. To offer a simple comparison: while Brian was working on my property, the electric company happened to reseed a patch of roadside across the street. Their quick, basic repair job yielded better results than what I received. If Brian’s outcome had matched even that standard, I wouldn’t feel the need to leave a negative review. Perhaps his services are adequate for basic tasks like mowing, raking, or plowing. But for more substantial projects, I strongly recommend exploring other options. Do your homework before making a decision.
Super responsive and thorough team. I've got a difficult driveway to plow in the winter and they've figured it out --and always get back to me within an hour. Definitely recommend.
I called Brian yesterday because most of the Landscapers around Lincoln are either too busy or want to cherry pick the big jobs. I called Brian in Franconia NH and he was here the following day to give me an estimate. He's comming back next week to start on our lawn mowing. It was that easy. After 2 years of frustration and worry ....landscapers who wouldn't call back and left us hanging.... we got relief from someone who is professional. Thank you Brian!
Very professional employees and easy to contact for additional work or changes with our needs.
