Verified record
Gromada Electric is a Norwood electrician run by Jeffrey Gromada, whose Massachusetts electrician license the state registry verifies as active. The written record here is thin and dated — three Google reviews between 2016 and 2020 — but each one describes a specific fix rather than generic praise. In a 2016 review, a customer who found Jeff through Google's Nest installer network says he traced two malfunctioning Nest thermostats to a missing ground wire, and even though the job ran longer than his quote, he didn't ask for more money. A 2020 review describes him tracking down an intermittently flickering shower light to a blown fuse behind an old recessed fixture and replacing it with an LED set. Another 2020 review calls him punctual and says he cleaned up the dust from drilling. Google shows 4 ratings averaging 5 stars, and BBB lists the same license number for the business but hasn't accredited or rated it. There isn't much recent written history to go on, so it's worth asking for a couple of current references before booking a bigger job. For straightforward electrical troubleshooting and repairs, the accounts on file describe careful, fairly-priced work.
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Gromada Electric. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
Standard receptacle swaps — a new dedicated circuit is a bigger job ($350–$750).
Flush mounts, pendants, chandeliers — hung on existing boxes.
Estimated range
$530 – $1,100
Typical electrical project around $820
Jeff was great; would highly recommend. Punctual and even cleaned up the dust after drilling a couple holes as part of the work.
The light in our shower stall was flipping on and off by itself for awhile even after we changed the light bulb and the switch. It finally stopped coming on last week. So, we called Jeff and he arrive on time as scheduled. After described to what happened, he knew exactly what the issue was (blown fuse for that old recess light). We ended up replaced the old light set with LED light set which only cost us extra $15 dollar because Jeff went the extra miles to go to HomeDepot instead of a store down the street which would have charge double the price... Anyway, Jeff has been our electrician since we bought our house and he has been doing a great job with a very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
I was connected with this electrician through Google's Nest product as he was a certified nest installer. I was having trouble with two nest thermostats and it was determined from the their tech support that my issues were due to the lack of a ground wire. I received a quote from various electricians and Gromada was the most reasonable. He arrived early, inspected the location and started work immediately. He did not break once till the work was done and although it took him longer than he had quoted me, he did not ask for more money than what he had quoted. He cleaned up all his work very well and patched up all the holes that were needed in order to get the ground wire to the nests. This fixed my issue and if I ever need Electrical work again, I am definitely using Gromada electric.
