GWP Contracting, of Trumbull, Connecticut, is Gary W. Paige, Jr. and family by the company's own account — a full-service home improvement provider in Fairfield County offering kitchen, bathroom and other remodeling in Westport, Fairfield and Trumbull. Its written reviews on Angi run from 2017 to 2025, and they describe carpentry of every size. In a March 2021 review, a customer said Gary had done many projects for them, from a kitchen remodel to custom built-ins and a powder room remodel. A March 2019 customer had bookshelves put in a dining room. Another March 2019 review describes Gary deactivating a rotted, disused cellar door, leaving a flat concrete wall inside and a sloping concrete slab outside. A January 2018 project to alter window entry points turned into jack-hammering granite, framing, drywall and paint; the customer said the price changed but that Gary had said from the beginning it could rise if heavy jack-hammering was needed. A November 2018 customer had rotted siding replaced on a garage, some of it under the loft stairs. Price comes up on both sides. A June 2022 customer said he wasn't the cheapest but was upfront and worked within the budget. A 2020 review calls him a quality carpenter, a bit pricey, and in April 2018 a customer objected to $350.00 for about an hour fixing sliding doors. A February 2018 customer said some minor details were overlooked on a siding job. Its Connecticut HIC licence, HIC.0624275, is active on the state registry. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 4.8 stars from 83 ratings.
Very friendly and professional. He did exactly what he told us he would do.
Great job
Installed Space-ex Starlink antenna and he’s now an expert!
I would hire Gary again in a heartbeat. Such a professional - honest, kind, and fast. He wasn't the cheapest, but he was very upfront and worked within the limits of my budget. Even showed up to finish some small details later after missing supplies were delivered. I don't think most folks would have gone that extra mile. Really appreciated.
Amazing. Did the work quickly did the work perfectly very nice and courteous and couldn’t have been better.
