Forty-four Google ratings, every one five stars since 2022 — and the reviews keep naming the same person: Ralph Guarino, who the company's own site says runs Highpoint Painters out of Walpole, with a second base in Cumberland, Rhode Island, covering towns along the Massachusetts/Rhode Island line. Recent reviews from this spring describe the same process older ones do: a proper prep job before any paint goes on — power washing, scraping, sanding, and priming — patching cracks and imperfections, and, per a 2023 review, a crew that applies with brushes rather than a sprayer for a higher-quality finished look. Jobs run mostly exterior repaints of older homes — a 2023 review from Joe and Maryann Amara described a full repaint of a 100-year-old colonial in North Attleboro — plus interior rooms, and one recent review mentions carpentry done alongside an exterior paint job. In a late-2025 review, a homeowner who compared several companies said Ralph was the only one who raised a specific paint choice for an older home. Communication comes up almost as often as the paint job itself: across four years of reviews, homeowners describe Ralph as responsive to calls and questions and willing to adjust plans mid-project. Nothing in the 36 reviews on file describes a complaint about the work, a scheduling problem, or a cost surprise. The company's Better Business Bureau profile carries an A+ rating and lists ten years in business, though it isn't a BBB-accredited business. Highpoint's own site states it holds a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#207766) and a Rhode Island contractor registration (#GC-51254) — the company's own claims, not numbers checked against the state registries. For a homeowner weighing an exterior repaint on an older house that needs real prep work, not just a fresh coat, this is a small, owner-run outfit with a clean multi-year record and a specific, describable process behind it. Worth getting the estimate in writing and asking about current lead time, the way earlier customers describe Ralph providing.

Ralph and his team are excellent to work with. He and his crew are professional and respectful. The pricing is reasonable and transparent, and the work is extremely high quality. My home looks completely different after the exterior paint job and carpentry. I’d recommend them to anyone who needs this type of work done!
Professional, transparent and friendly! My house needed the TLC bad
Ralph was easy to work with and thoroughly explained all of the details of his proposal. His team did a great job and we get lots of compliments on the new color.
Highpoint was amazing!! They not only did such a professional re-color paint job, but they helped to patch so many areas of cracks and imperfections. It looks incredible, and they had it completed so quickly!!
Very professional. Workers were fast and neat. Filled in and smoothed out all the problem areas. Used killz to cover some ugly stains. The end result was amazing and I'm glad I didn't do the work myself.
