Old houses keep turning up in Hoogle Homes' jobs: an 1850 porch with no solid foundation, an 1880s farmhouse with rotted sills. The company says it has been in business 13 years, and its website lists a service area that includes Knox, Waldo, Brooks, Swanville, Stockton Springs, Verona Island, Islesboro, Camden, Northport and Lincolnville. It describes its work as improving how spaces are used and how well they hold up over the years. A recent Google reviewer said Ganesh and his crew built a new front porch, small deck and stairs on their 1850 house, where the porch was not on a solid foundation; Ganesh made it solid and sturdy while staying with the price quoted. A recent customer said Ganesh and Anna raised their cabin up two feet between the floor and the walls and stayed with the job until it was done. At a recent customer's 1880s farmhouse, Ganesh and Anna replaced rotted sills, reframed sections of floor and wall, and restored some siding and trim. A recent reviewer said a beach walkway was updated and repaired within a week, after a thorough bid with options. A recent customer said Ganesh extended a stove pipe on their house in one hour. A 2026 customer said Ganesh and Anna completed a room remodel on time and on budget. A 2026 reviewer listed wooden siding repair and painting, drywall repair after a leak, a new gutter system and a non-standard-size storm door among the work done on their 1850s home. A 2026 customer said Hoogle Homes oversaw tearing down an old shed and building a new garage, added insulation in a workshop in the barn along the way, and cleaned everything up at the end of each day.
Ganesh and his crew were reliable, communicated well and did an excellent job building a new front porch small deck and stairs. Our 1850 house has a porch that is not on a solid foundation so there were surprises. Ganesh had the skills to problem solve and make it solid and sturdy while staying with the price quoted. They seemed very organized and prepared. He was very pleasant and we would highly recommend Hoogle Homes. l
I can't say enough about the quality of work I received from Ganesh and Anna at Hoogle Homes. They are unusually reliable and responsible for general contractors. They stayed with the job until the job was done, and it was an unusually difficult job, raising my cabin up two feet between the floor and the walls. I would highly recommend working with Hoogle Homes.
We recently had our walkway to the beach updated and repaired by the folks at Hoogle Homes. They did a terrific job. Thorough bid, with options, and good communication. They were available and completed the project within a week. Now the walkway looks great and is once again safe to use every day. We recommend them highly.
Ganesh and Anna helped me with a bunch of repair work to my 1880's farmhouse; replacing rotted sills, reframing sections of floor and wall, and restoring some siding and trim, among other things. They are very skilled in creative thinking and problem solving, which is indispensable when working with a quirky old building such as this one. Their breadth of knowledge of different construction methods and materials is remarkable. And they are good listeners, competent at adapting to the needs of a particular person or a particular project. I'm grateful to have them here in our community and I would highly recommend them for your next project.
Ganesh extended the stove pipe on our house. It was done in just one hour and was very much appreciated! Thanks!
