Hour Glass Company is a South Portland glass business whose website lists custom glass shower doors, commercial windows and doors, and commercial glass services. It says it has been in business 15 years, and on Houzz it calls itself a family-operated glass shop specializing in custom shower surrounds. On Google it holds 4.6 stars from 39 ratings. A recent customer needed a tub glass sliding door and two glass corner shelves for a guest bathroom. Dan, the owner, came out, measured and made recommendations; Rick, the installer, and his assistant came about four weeks later and installed everything. A recent buyer of a custom shower door called the price very reasonable and the installation seamless, and said they came to the house. A 2025 customer said they installed mirrors in a Pilates studio, with Dan and Holly handling the estimate and billing, and that Rick, Nick and Nick cleaned up after themselves and delivered on time.
We needed a tub glass sliding door and two glass corner shelves for our guest bathroom. Dan, the owner, came out and measured and made some great recommendations. We ordered the Cambridge slider with the towel rack on the left door out side and inset handle on the right door. Rick, the installer, and his assistant came about four weeks later and installed everything flawlessly. We could not be more happy with dealing with Hour Glass and all the people there and would recommend them highly to anyone needed any glass products.
Ordered a custom shower door and they helped me every step of the way. The process was easy, the price was very reasonable, and installation was seamless. I highly recommend connecting with them. They came to the house and it was a very easy process.
Very nice people run this place. Quality glass to order.
I had an outstanding experience with Hour Glass in South Portland. They installed mirrors in my Pilates studio and the workmanship is flawless. Perfect alignment, no distortion, and a pristine finish. The team was professional, efficient, and clearly takes pride in their craft. Dan and Holly were a dream with the estimate and billing; Rick, Nick, and Nick respected the space, cleaned up after themselves, and delivered exactly what was promised, on time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs high quality studio or commercial mirror installation. A truly excellent job done by truly excellent people.
Great experience with this company. Cant say enough. Highly recommend them for any bathroom project.
