Impact Services General Contractor says it has over 20 years of experience serving the Oxford, Connecticut area. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration is active. A 2021 Angi reviewer named the owners as Don and Joe Mastersanti and said Don or Joe was on site every day to manage their men and direct their work. Between 2019 and 2021, four Angi customers wrote about deck jobs they were happy with. A January 2020 customer said the crew put in long days in the cold and "got the job done when they said they would." A March 2020 review of a deck rebuild said they stayed true to the quoted work and price. In an October 2021 review, a Trumbull customer said Don and Joe honored their original quote despite skyrocketing material costs. Other praised jobs include a front porch replacement in a January 2021 review and front steps in a November 2019 review. A May 2025 Angi reviewer wrote that they issued the company a $15,000 check on July 4th, 2023, and that as of May 2025 "Not a single ounce of work has been done." In a March 2024 review, a customer said they had given the company $40K of an $80K project with about $15K of work completed, and that their new contractor said it all has to be re-done. That customer also said the contract had no end date and that change orders were priced only after the work was done. A January 2023 review described paying $25,000 toward a garage, hired in February 2022, that still had no proper fire wall, electricity or doors. Two 2020 reviews of deck-and-patio jobs said the crew rarely or never showed up when promised, and one said they had to hire another contractor to complete the patio. A December 2020 Angi reviewer said they fired the company and had them removed from the property by the Milford police department. The Better Business Bureau grades the company C+ and counts one complaint against it. On Angi it holds 4.0 stars from 23 ratings, 17% of them 1-star.
Deck or Porch - Build or Replace- For Business????? Two Years, $15,000 Gone ? A Charming Scam in Disguise DO NOT trust this company with your money. We issued them a $15,000 check on July 4th, 2023, with the assurance the job would be completed before the end of summer 2023. That promise quickly unraveled into a mess of excuses, delays, and broken commitments. By fall of 2023, we were told they couldn?t begin until April 2024. When we expressed frustration and asked for a refund, we were told reimbursement was not an option. Our only alternative? Downgrade the project. That was nearly two years ago ? and as of May 2025, we are still waiting for a quote for that downgraded job. Not a single ounce of work has been done. Here?s how the scam plays out: Don Mastersanti shows up at your house, full of charm, promising personalized work and attention. He talks a big game face-to-face, making it feel like you?re in good hands. Once they get your check, all communication stops. Emails? Ignored. Follow-ups? Unanswered. Timelines? Mean
Did exactly what they said they would do. Big project I could not have ever imagined coming out exactly what they gave me to invision. Attention to detail, high quality of workmanship. So happy I chose you guys. Thank you!
Do not even consider hiring Impact Services. Please save yourself the time and heartache: run a quick Google search on â  Don Mastersanti’and you’ll see he and his son have failed to successfully run any of their business properly. Fired and sued with their custom sign business. Charges against them with their snow plowing business. Now failing at being general contractors as well with tons of terrible reviews, a history of poor customer service, and looks like an arrest in 2021 for violation of home improvement contract requirements (the course case is happening March 2023, can see it on CT’s judicial branch website. They did the same to us, had us sign a contract with no end date, in violation of the CT home improvement act. They also never pulled permits with our town, we had to request that they do. They also would complete change order jobs without giving us a price quote first, and then named insanely high prices after the work had been completed. So far, we’ve given them $40K of our total $80K project and have about $15K of work that’s been completed and none of the other materials were ever delivered. We had to fire them due to terrible communication, over promising, and always under delivering on every single aspect of the job. Our new contractor who’s highly regarded said that of the $15K of work Impact Services did complete, the majority of it was not up to code and it all has to be re-done. Do not make the same huge mistake we did. Easy call: 0/5. Couldn’t recommend low enough.
Their quality of work is excellent. The crew is very pleasant and hard working. Also, taking pride in what they do. They're super flexible and work with you to get things just the way you like. I am very pleased with their work and would highly recommend them.L’
I hired this people back in February 2022 They took half of the money to build a garage which is $25,000 and I still have no proper fire wall installed, no electricity, no doors which I paid and they order back in February they took down my back deck stairs months ago I could not use my deck all summer and is still an hazard. I wanted to connect the garage to my kitchen so even if not necessary they took cabinets down. And I have floating kitchen cabinets everywhere. Thanks to Angy for asking me to write a review on this company. I will let you know soon how it ends.
