J & M Landscaping and Construction

J & M Landscaping and Construction is a Lynn landscaping contractor with a broad outdoor-work menu that includes landscape construction, hardscaping, patios, decks, pergolas, masonry, fencing, drainage, and lawn care. Houzz shows nine projects and a 3.0 rating from two reviews. The recent written history is sharply split. A July 2024 reviewer praised the company’s landscaping and construction service. A November 2024 homeowner, however, described a backyard overhaul with problems in concrete, grading, drainage, deck construction, material choices, oversight, communication, and workmanship, saying attempted fixes made matters worse. That negative account is specific enough to matter more than the short praise, even though both are dated 2024. Ask for references to comparable projects, a detailed drainage and grading plan where relevant, and a written process for correcting defects. The service menu fits outdoor construction and maintenance, but the small review base does not establish consistent results. Confirm who supervises the crew and how workmanship issues are handled before booking.
