J. Bonin Tree Services, LLC

J. Bonin Tree Services is a Charlton, Massachusetts company the owner says he started in 2015 and incorporated two years later — the website adds that Jonathan Bonin himself has worked in tree removal for over 20 years across Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut. The one detailed independent account on file is a 2023 Reddit thread in which someone recommended the crew for exactly the kind of job that separates tree companies: their trucks couldn't reach the backyard, so they lifted a large tree out over the house with a crane instead — described as a great experience, quick, with a full cleanup afterward. A BBB review adds that a customer was completely satisfied with the work, calling the crew professional and thorough. BBB rates the business A+, though it isn't BBB-accredited. BBB lists a Massachusetts license (HE-184600) from the Department of Public Safety and Inspections for the business, though that hasn't been independently verified against the state registry. Beyond removals and trimming, the company's own site lists stump grinding, land clearing, chipping, and a 127-foot crane for hard-to-reach jobs, plus firewood and bulk landscape materials. For a job that needs a crane or tight-access removal, the Reddit account is a good sign; as always, confirm current licensing and insurance before booking.
