Ken is the name behind Kins Construction & Home Remodeling, a Bethel general contractor and handyman whose HomeAdvisor and Angi reviews run from 2011 to 2024. The two sites carry the same 4.6 stars from 34 ratings, and the work customers describe ranges from repairs and doors to power washing and holiday lighting. The earlier accounts are warm. In a 2013 review, a customer called Ken's estimates thorough and precise, spelling out every part of the job, and had already hired him for more work; another 2013 review says Ken, Pete and Cooper kept working through rainy days. A 2019 customer says the company answered a HomeAdvisor request immediately, gave a price and came out the same day to finish the repair. A 2021 review calls him knowledgeable and says he offered useful advice. Three reviews describe jobs left undone. In a February 2019 review, a customer paid part of the cost of deck work, then saw missed visits, a repair that needed fixing again by the end of the summer, and a job never finished. A June 2018 reviewer says power washing damaged a brand new deck and railings and that Ken promised to come back the next day to take care of it but never did. The latest review, from May 2024, says Ken was paid to put up and take down Christmas lights and, after at least six calls and texts, the lights were still up at the end of May. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0554356, is listed as expired, under KINS CONSTRUCTION & HOME REMODELING.
Ken was paid to put up and take down Christmas lights. I have called and texted at least six times and have been told almost that many times that he was coming to take the lights down. It is now almost June and they are still up. So beware. Not reliable and isnâ t honest.
Ken was knowledgeable and offered valuable advice. His work was done with care and expertise. Thanks!

Kins Construction contacted me immediately after I requested handyman services through HomeAdvisor. I explained my work, he gave me a price and agreed to meet me later that day. He was prompt, thorough and successfully took care of my repair. I will definitely work with Kins Construction in the future. Very professional!
