A living-room stone wall around a built-in electric fireplace had to come down after another contractor did it wrong; in a March 2020 Angi review, the homeowner wrote that L & R Masonry "did it the right way," and matched the stones on the base of the kitchen island. The Southbury company describes itself on Angi and HomeAdvisor as locally owned, with over 20 years of hands on experience. Its written reviews run from 2019 to 2021, all on Angi. A July 2020 customer described a 20 X 20 blue stone patio and walkway, started and finished on time and as budgeted. An August 2020 review covers a charcoal colored paver patio, sidewalks and bluestone steps and landings, and another that month describes rebuilding a small stacked stone wall, completed ahead of schedule. A June 2020 customer praised a new patio and re-done front door steps. In a September 2019 review, a customer who had a stone wall rebuilt and a patio fixed called the wall better than the original and said the patio was put back to working condition, considering its state. Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0★ from 10 ratings. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0642546, is expired.

These guys are GREAT!!! They did an amazing job... it was completed fast and without any issues!! I even added and made a few changes along the way!! Totally recommend them!
They understood my vision for rebuilding a small stacked stone wall and involved me in the project as it advanced. They were punctual, efficient and completed the project ahead of schedule. Beautiful results. Didn't realize how bad the old wall looked until they refurbished it. Highly recommend.

These guys are fantastic. They started and finished the job on time and as budgeted. They put in a 20 X 20 blue stone patio and walkway. It s gorgeous. I asked them many questions as the work was being done and they accommodated every ask. To top it of, they are simply great people. Worth every single penny and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.Mary
