Laura Mae Properties is a construction and remodeling company, by its own description on the Better Business Bureau, and its website invites kitchen, bathroom, basement, flooring and deck projects. The website lists a service area that includes Wolcott, Bristol, Southington, Watertown, Naugatuck, Cheshire and Meriden, and the company says it has been in business for 20 years. The Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ grade and lists it as accredited. A 2022 BuildZoom customer who hired the company to install flooring said the door frame was cracked, the baseboard heaters were bent and planks were cut incorrectly. That 2022 customer wrote that the entire floor had to be taken up and all the floors reinstalled. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0658271, as active, held by Laura Mae Properties LLC.
BEWARE! Hired this company to install flooring. Cracked my door frame. Bent my baseboard heaters. Wall trim installed poorly. Cut planks incorrectly. Tried to cover all the errors with caulk. Took two days to install. Gaps everywhere! Entire floor had to be taken up. Had to reinstall all floors. Terrible job! Just wanted them out! I have to hire someone to replace most of the perimeter of the floors. Contractor who does not know how to do the work himself. Hires day laborers. Told me his father owned business. Lies! Looked for reviews, Company has only been in business for three years. Scammer!
