Ledo's Lawn Care is an owner-operated lawn care and landscaping company working out of 11 Sharon Street in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, run by Dennis Ledo. Its own site describes seasonal programs rather than one-off visits — weekly mowing, core aeration, overseeding, dethatching, mulch and bed maintenance, pruning and spring and fall cleanups — for homes and commercial properties across the South Coast, and says the company is not a franchise. A February 2023 Fairhaven Zoning Board legal notice records Dennis Ledo applying for a Home Occupation special permit at that same address to operate a lawn care business. The repeat customers are the striking part of the record. Several reviewers in February 2026 said Dennis and his crew had looked after their property for two or more years: one described winter clean-up and spring prep across two seasons and work that leaves the yard looking finished, another cited fall leaf clean-up and called the pricing very fair, and a retired lawn care operator wrote that he hired Dennis after leaving the trade himself and rated the crew's honesty highly. The work goes beyond mowing. A March 2026 customer had blizzard-damaged trees cut down and the stumps removed; a May 2026 customer had heavy brush and briars cleared; a February 2026 reviewer had shrub pruning and a leaf clean-up done on a relative's lawn in Dartmouth. Punctuality and showing up on schedule come up again and again. One detailed April 2026 complaint runs the other way and is worth reading before you sign. That customer said the landscaping was poorly executed — weeds not properly removed and no barrier laid before mulching, with weeds coming through within days — that scheduled mowings were missed, and that they were charged more than the originally agreed price once the work was finished, with no clear explanation. Google's average across 18 ratings is 4.8. Ask about two things specifically. First, price: get the seasonal scope and the per-visit price in writing, and agree in advance how any change is authorised. Second, tenure and ownership: the Angi and HomeAdvisor profile — one listing syndicated to both — claims over 30 years of experience and describes the business as family owned and operated with a "Veteran owned and operated" highlight, while the company's own website makes none of those statements.
