LT Home Improvement LLC is a Danbury, CT roofing and siding company run by Luis Tintin, whom a 2016 Angi reviewer calls the owner and a 2026 reviewer calls its CEO. It says it has 28 years in business and serves Danbury, Bethel, New Milford, Ridgefield, Brookfield, Newtown and surrounding towns, with free estimates and 24/7 emergency service. It holds 4.9 stars from 108 Google ratings, 4.7 from 17 on HomeAdvisor and 4.7 from 16 on Angi, with reviews going back to 2007. The jobs customers describe are large exterior packages. A January 2026 reviewer had a new roof and gutters, rot repair under the siding, new specialty siding, a door, five windows and a re-roofed shed, and said Luis got their approval each time an issue raised the cost. A November 2025 customer listed a roof, siding with substructure repairs, custom window trim, soffits, gutters, two skylights and attic ventilation. A May 2026 reviewer came back five years after a roof for James Hardie siding, and foreman Toribio remembered the earlier job. Two reviewers, in December 2025 and April 2026, say Luis helped them through insurance claims. The older accounts are about roofing detail. In a 2016 Angi review, a homeowner described a New Fairfield house with 12 gables and extensive copper work, and then had Luis do a farmhouse roof in Somers, NY. A 2018 Angi reviewer said a six-man crew tore off and replaced a roof, two skylights and a ventilator in two days. The sharpest complaint is recent. A July 2026 Google reviewer whose basement flooded asked LT for a free reconstruction estimate in May 2026; the reviewer says Luis sent a supplement estimate of $38,231 straight to the insurer, $13,299 above the adjuster's figure and including $1,473 for roofing, then billed $2,493.42 for the estimate after the reviewer ended the agreement. The reviewer calls the estimate fraudulent and says LT later emailed that it would drop the billing if the post was deleted or edited. A 2015 Angi reviewer said part of a roof job was left unfinished. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0606790, is listed by the state as active, held by LT Home Improvement LLC. It has an A+ grade with the BBB and is BBB accredited.

LT Home Improvement did an excellent job installing our new roof. The team was professional, efficient, and paid great attention to detail. The quality of their work was outstanding, and they kept everything clean throughout the project. I highly recommend LT Home Improvement for anyone looking for reliable roofing services!
I scheduled a free inspection with LT Home Improvement and was pleasantly surprised by how informative the entire visit was. They carefully inspected my roof and siding, explained what they found, and reviewed several repair and replacement options without trying to sell me anything. It was refreshing to work with a company that focuses on educating homeowners first. Thank you for your professionalism and honest advice.
I had a great experience with the free inspection and retail estimate from LT Home Improvement. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of my questions. They explained the different roofing and siding materials, installation options, warranties, and what would work best for my home. I never felt pressured to make a decision. Instead, I walked away with a much better understanding of my home's condition and the available repair options. I truly appreciate their honesty, professionalism, and attention to detail. Highly recommended!
BUYER BEWARE....TRUST BUT VERIFY!!! I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND the services of Luis Tintin, CEO of LT Home Improvement LLC in Danbury CT. IN MY OPINION and RECENT EXPERIENCE with Luis Tintin, he is untrustworthy, unethical, deceptive, dishonet, lacks integrity and credibility. My finished basement was flooded due to burst pipes in 2/11/26 during the deep freeze. It was such a catastropic event for me. My house was damaged, personal property, furniture, electronics, etc. were destroyed and discarded. The mitigation, remediation, demolition process, personal property, contents handling of the home were done and completed on 2/11/26-2/19/26 by another company. I was google searching for a Contractor to do the reconstruction of my basement on 5/18/26. I found LT Home Improvement web site. I read two negative reviews on google and on Better Business Bureau from two customers who were promised free estimates. but billed later on by Luis Tintin. I checked Luis Tintin Face book and web site and it clearly states FREE ESTIMATE FREE INSPECTION. I should have believed the negative reviews. Instead I gave Luis Tintin the benefit of the doubt. I completed the form on his web site that says: Request a FREE ESTIMATE. I also sent an email requesting FREE ESTIMATE. I met him on 5/19/26 to inspect my property and to prepare an estimate. An Adjustor from my home insurance already inspected my property for five hours back on 2/13/26. She came and took measurements, photos, prepared the estimate, approved the scope of work and cost to rebuild for $24,932.42 on 3/5/26.When I met Luis Tintin for the first time on 5/19/26 I showed the Travelers estimate to him. Luis Tintin told me $24,932.00 was not enough. He had to prepare a supplement estimate for more funds. I requested the estimate to be sent to me for review and approval. Ignoring my request, he submitted the supplement estimate directly to my home insurance for $38,231.00 before I could see it. When he finally sent me the estimate, he increased cost for rebuild $13,299.00 more than the Adjustor's original estimate. He submitted a fraudulent estimate that consisted of charges and services that was already done four months prior by the other company. His estimate even included $1473.00 for ROOFING, which has nothing to do with my BASEMENT reconstuction. I asked him to delete the fraudulent charges and services and revise his estimate. His wife Magila Tintin, dismissive and defiantly refused. She told me that I was confusing their staff. I sent an email to my Insurance adjuster NOT to review and NOT to approve the fraudulent claim. I also sent an email to Luis Tintin terminating our agreement. He called me on the telephone, left me a very angry, rude, threatening message trying to intimidate me. He said, I owe him for the (FREE) estimate. He said he hates dealing with people like me who do not understand insurance and demanded that I better call him back. Little does he know I have 50 years career in the insurance industry, I was a licensed and certified Insurance Agent at METLIFE now retired. He has been sending me collection letters and invoices for $2,493.42 for the FRAUDULENT ESTIMATE he falsely advertise as FREE on his facebook page and website. The amount he is charging me of $2,493.42 is 10% of the $24,932.42 estimate that was prepared by my insurance adjustor on 3/05/26, three months before I even knew him. That is deceptive advertising, fraudulent billing, predatory, unethical business practices I believe is subject to investigation by the Better Business Bureau and Department of Consumer Protection . I met with TEN other contractors for an estimate, none of them charged me for it. Luis Tintin is the only one billing me for a useless fraudulent estimate and for services NOT rendered for $2,493.42 . There is no legally binding RECONSTRUCTION CONTRACT between us. I signed a BLANK service agreement in order to prepare the supplement estimate. UPDATE: 7/18/26 RECEIVED EMAIL...THAT THEY WILL NOT PURSUE BILLING...PROVIDED I DELETE OR EDIT MY POST.
