A gas cooktop that would not fit an old granite cutout is the kind of job LWI Metal Works takes on: a recent customer says LWI fashioned a stainless steel frame to exact spec and the new cooktop fit perfectly. LWI describes itself on its BBB page as an iron and steel fabrication company serving residential, commercial, industrial, architectural and artistic industries, founded in 1968 by Leo Trombley. Its website lists structural and miscellaneous steel for building construction, prototype machining, tank trailer repair and custom metalwork. A Vermont business site has described its steel fabrication for large construction projects, large tank restoration and fabrication, and smaller job shop projects. Its BBB grade is A+, and it holds 4.6 stars from 18 Google ratings. A 2025 customer with a small "home owner" job said Kevin understood the request and had it done the same day. A 2022 customer said Kevin and the team repaired damaged aluminium mountain bike frames before a race, turning the job around the same day at a price that customer called really good. A 2024 reviewer who had used LWI for over 25 years named Kevin as the main contact and a master welder.

Wanted to put in a gas cooktop but the granite cutout was a little big from the old one. LWI fashioned a stainless steel frame to exact spec and the new cooktop fit perfectly. Looks amazing. Excellent work!
I had a small "home owner" job that I needed done. Kevin understood what I was asking for and was able to have it done the same day. Excellent work and customer service from everyone I interacted with.
I have been using LWI for over 25 years. Their fabrication abilities are second to none. Their client servicing is fantastic. Kevin is my main contact and he is not only master welder, but a wonderful person to deal with. This company is a gem
I needed to get some aluminium mountain bike Frames repaired quickly before a race after they sustained damaged whilst testing. Kevin and the whole team responded really quickly and went out of their way to help me out turning the job around on the same day. I really appreciated the effort they put in and they did a great job of the repair and charged me a really good price and were friendly and knowledgeable. I can highly recommend them.
