M&J Painting

A customer who called M&J Painting on a Friday had a quote that afternoon and the job done the next day — that January 2023 BuildZoom review is typical of how this Pawtucket painting crew comes across. The name that comes up again and again is Mike: an October 2020 BuildZoom reviewer named Mike Laramee and his son John among the four men who painted a hallway, worked on a Sunday, and were "polite diligent on time." The Google average is 4.7 stars from 72 ratings, all eight BuildZoom ratings are five stars, and the BBB grade is A+. Most of the jobs people describe are interiors: a small apartment painted fast in an August 2025 review, three rooms in a September 2022 review from a customer who called the crew "very very neat," a living room in February 2021. A July 2025 Google reviewer had the exterior of their home painted during extreme heat and said the price was fair. In a December 2025 review, a customer said Mike assessed the apartment quickly, gave an "honest/realistic price" and didn't try to oversell anything. A March 2026 reviewer had walls repaired and painted, and an October 2024 BuildZoom customer noted that someone actually answered the phone and scheduled the job for the same week. The most recent review, from August 2026, says the writer will keep working with Mike. The Rhode Island contractor registry lists the company's home improvement registration, GC-42890, held by M & J Painting, as expired.
