"His asphalt was a true 3”" — that is how an April 2025 Google reviewer described Geno's driveway job for M&J Paving, along with a base he called the best he had seen. The Bridgeport company's website says it has delivered asphalt, concrete and paving work across New Haven and Fairfield counties for over 20 years. Driveways lead the reviews. A September 2026 customer wrote that the crew paved their driveway and a neighbor's the same day, and came back to fix tire marks from extreme heat free of charge, though it took a little while during the busy season. In a December 2025 review, a customer whose driveway was paved and a side sidewalk added said Chino was very professional and the work was done on time. A May 2026 review describes front steps and a walkway replaced on schedule, with the surrounding plants protected, and a September 2025 customer had excavation and a retaining wall built for an above ground pool. An April 2024 Angi review credits Mercedario and his crew with a brand new driveway at a price the customer called affordable. One July 2026 Google review, rating the job 4★, says an asphalt driveway was replaced with gravel and almost all of the work was completed in good fashion, but the job was not fully finished as expected. Google shows 4.9★ from 10 ratings, and Angi and HomeAdvisor each show 5.0★ from 3 ratings. The website offers free estimates and says the company is insured. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0699902, is active.
Quick reliable paving service & very reasonable prices! We recommended them to our next door neighbor, and they finished their driveway the same day they finished ours. Driveway had tire marks 2 weeks later because of extreme heat and they came back and fixed it for us free of charge! Took them a little while to get around to it but it's understandable because of the season. Thanks guys!
M&J recently replaced my asphalt driveway with gravel. While almost all of the work was completed in good fashion, the job itself was not fully finished as expected. I would strongly recommend paying close attention to the details before moving forward by making sure the contract is clearly written and that there is no confusion about the scope of work, materials, or what “completion” actually includes.
M&J Paving replaced our front steps and walkway and did exceptional work. They did the job on schedule, were easy to communicate with, protected the surrounding plants, and the final product is beautiful. We are extremely grateful and highly recommend them.
I am very happy with the work done by MJ paving. They paved my driveway and put in a sidewalk on the side of my house. They did an excellent job. Chino was very professional in all of his dealings with me. The work was done right on time as was expected. I would definitely recommend MJ paving for this type of work.
