Another customer that month reports a very different appliance-delivery experience: rude workers, damage to the house and promises of inspection and repair that the customer says were not fulfilled, followed by unanswered calls and texts. M and M Movers describes itself as a local, family-owned Fall River company with 25 years in business. Its website advertises residential, commercial and long-distance moving, packing, piano moving and appliance delivery. In a June 2026 r/newbedford thread, a commenter said they had used M&M Movers to move a piano and that the company will get the job done. It publishes MDPU, Rhode Island PCU and motor-carrier numbers as its own claims. Google shows 3.7 stars from 80 ratings. Older moving accounts include difficult access and storage jobs. A January 2025 customer says the crew moved furniture from a third-floor Fall River apartment, hoisting a bedroom set out the window. In a July 2024 review, a customer describes two trucks and five workers taking heavy furniture and fragile items to three locations. When fresh asphalt prevented the truck from approaching a storage unit, the customer says Carlos and the crew carried the pieces 60 feet without an extra charge. A January 2024 customer says the crew moved belongings between apartments in less than four hours and considered the hourly price reasonable. Damage complaints recur across several dated accounts. A January 2026 reviewer reports a gouged wooden end table, difficulty reaching the owner and disputed moving time and charges. A March 2024 appliance customer says deliveries arranged through Stan and Paul's damaged a refrigerator door and bathroom vanity, with promised calls not returned. An August 2022 customer reports a damaged table leg and a promised repair that never happened; a July 2022 customer reports mattress-handle and dining-table damage. In September 2023, a reviewer alleged that the movers stole a sword given by a friend. Booking and billing have also drawn complaints. A May 2025 customer says the secretary forgot to book the move, leaving them to seek help from friends and family. A December 2023 customer says messages and emails went unanswered. A June 2022 customer reports waiting three days for a promised availability response before being told the company could not accommodate the date. In December 2022, a customer says the crew arrived late without calling and the charge exceeded the phone quote by over $100 because a fifth mover had been added without being requested, while praising the moving crew itself. In an October 10, 2007 article, SouthCoastToday reported that Dave Mello of M and M Movers in Fall River would donate transportation for an exhibit from Battleship Cove to Washington.
