In a 2022 review, a customer who had had several driveways paved called the one Maine-Ly Paving did the best value: for a very reasonable price, they dug down several feet and backfilled with crushed rock before adding gravel and then asphalt. That 2022 customer said the company cut through a sidewalk and did a good job repointing the curb. The same 2022 customer said the areas around the stairs and porch were not dug down enough, so a step and parts of the lattice were buried, and advised watching the dirt level around structures before and during paving. In a 2024 review, a customer said they left a phone message and a Facebook message asking for an estimate and got no response. A recent reviewer, who wrote that they were not certain the review applied to this paving crew, said the roadway work on Ingalls Street and Pine Street in Anson looked well done but that crew members parked equipment and vehicles on newly seeded lawn and left cigarette butts on the property. The business holds 3.7 stars from 7 Google ratings.
I’m not certain whether this review applies to the same paving crew. If it does not, please disregard it. However, if it does, I feel compelled to address a concern. The paving work completed on Ingalls Street and Pine Street in Anson appears to be well done, and I appreciate the quality of the finished roadway. Unfortunately, the conduct of some crew members toward surrounding private property was disappointing. My husband recently invested significant time, effort, and money restoring portions of our lawn with fresh loam, grass seed, and hay after previous damage. Despite this being clearly visible, members of the paving crew parked equipment and vehicles directly on the newly prepared areas. After my husband politely requested that they move, the request was initially ignored. It was not until I personally spoke with them that the vehicles were relocated. Additionally, cigarette butts were left scattered throughout our property at the end of the workday. While the road itself looks great, respect for residents’ property is just as important as the quality of the work being performed. I would encourage better attention to professionalism, communication, and cleanup practices on future projects.
Called and left a message to get an estimate and no response. Decided to leave a message on Facebook and they see the message but never respond. Bad for business.
We’ve had several driveways paved but this one by Maine-Ly Paving was by far the best value. For a very reasonable price, they went further than their competitors by digging down several feet, and backfilling with crushed rock before adding gravel, and ultimately asphalt. They also had to cut through a sidewalk and they did a good job repointing the curb. The driveway is thick and I expect it to last a very long time. We did have some issues around our stairs and porch area. These specific areas were not dug down enough and as a result a step and parts of our lattice were buried. Unfortunately now that it’s done, it cannot be undone without a lot of further damage to the driveway, so we will have to live with it. My advice would be to ensure you are paying attention to the level of dirt around structural elements like this before they start paving and then watch them pave to ensure the finished product will be as you want it.
