Maine Solar

Maine Solar says it was founded in 1975 by Floyd Severn and describes itself as part of Central Maine's solar community for nearly five decades, helping Maine homeowners and businesses with solar. A 2022 customer posted a three-year update on a system of 48 LG panels with two inverters: they were told it would supply 90% of the power needed to run the house, and they wrote that they get between 85 and 95% depending on the weather. In that 2022 review, the customer said an inverter failed after the first week and the company came over that week and replaced it with a new one. The same 2022 customer wrote that the company stopped by the house one day to see whether the system was living up to expectations, and thanked Heather for her help. A 2024 Reddit commenter in r/Maine said they used Maine Solar and praised the service and the people.
