Martin Realty Management is a landlord first and a management company second — the rooms, studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments, rooming houses, office suites and retail space it rents out across Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth and Holbrook are the business. The company says it has been in property management for 45 years, though it names no founding year or founder. Its BBB listing fills in some of that: a sole proprietorship with one employee, a business start date of 1978, and Leo Martin as property manager. The reception from people who actually rent from them splits hard. Google sits at 3.1 across 15 ratings, and the reviews behind it run to both ends rather than clustering in the middle — glowing accounts from tenants alongside one-star complaints about how callers were treated. The most recent came in April 2026 from a tenant a year into a one-bedroom in Quincy, who described the owner, the leasing office and maintenance as responsive and professional across the whole tenancy. The complaints don't dispute the apartments — they're about the phone. That's the thing worth testing yourself: call the office before you commit, and see how the conversation goes when you ask something inconvenient. The BBB page is Not Rated, and the bureau says plainly it lacks enough information to issue a grade, so there's no third-party grade to lean on either way. The company is a Quincy Chamber of Commerce member. This is the right call if you're renting on the South Shore and want a small, long-established local operation where the owner is reachable rather than a leasing portal. Before signing, confirm what's actually available in the town you want, ask who handles maintenance requests and how after-hours issues get routed, and judge the office manner for yourself — that's where the reviews disagree most.

I currently live within on of their properties on the south shore (quincy) ; and i have to say this is one of the best companies I have had to deal with in the last 5yrs. They are responsive and professional. From the onwer, leasing office, maintenence. I been here for 1yr so far and haven't had any issues. I rent a 1bd and would recommend to anyone that asks me.

Terrible customer service

The owner Leo Martin is very rude. Whenever I call I’m simply a veteran who puts out books in the community. Try to spread awareness of Veterans going through a tough time in the South Shore and he’s always swearing and yelling at me to not call him because he doesn’t support vets. Go with another Realty company in the South Shore. I can even recommend some to anyone who is interested

Spoke with an agent who was incredibly curt and rude. Very unprofessional.
