The permits BuildZoom has on file are essentially the whole of what is known: two Marblehead kitchen renovations at $77,500 and $95,500, both of which also replaced windows; a Beverly basement remodel at $64,688 that added a full bathroom and reconfigured the laundry room; a chimney taken out and a gas fireplace vented through the roof; and a roof-and-rear-siding replacement. All of it dates to 2020 and 2021. That is a general contractor's mix - structural work with several trades on one job - and it lines up with the credential. BuildZoom lists Massachusetts construction supervisor licence CS-111850 as active, which is the licence the state requires for work touching a building's structure. That is BuildZoom's record, not a registry check. BuildZoom also states plainly that it has received no reviews for him. There is no customer account here at all, and the permit sample it publishes ends in 2021. Worth asking before you hire: what he has built since 2021, and whether he will hand over two or three homeowners from those Marblehead and Beverly jobs to call. Confirm CS-111850 yourself with the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety, and if your project is non-structural home improvement, ask about a separate home improvement contractor registration.
