McGuire Services is Dan McGuire. Homeowners writing in 2022 kept describing the same thing — the owner himself looking at the lawn, quoting it, and doing the treatment. A March 2022 review describes searching online after moving into a new home and Dan McGuire turning up the same day, in person, to give the estimate; a July 2022 customer put it as the capabilities of the big companies with the service of a small one. What people hired him for is lawn treatment: fertilizer and lime, weed control, grub and insect control, aeration, overseeding, and mosquito and tick spray. Its Better Business Bureau page, which grades the company A+, adds soil amendment, seeding, disease and fungus control, and shrub and tree care. Results are what customers wrote about. A July 2022 reviewer said a lawn that was half grass and half weeds when Dan started was over 99 percent grass by then, and a March 2022 customer described weeds gone and green grass through a New England growing season without watering at all. Two reviewers in 2022 counted four or five years with him; several mentioned the emails — a note a few days before a treatment, and a follow-up afterwards recording what was done. A January 2018 Angi reviewer recommended him for plowing their parents' driveway. Two accounts run the other way, and both are about reaching him rather than about the lawn. In May 2023 someone left a voicemail and wrote that no call back ever came. In a May 2018 review, a customer who liked the value said the business did not reply to email, and that after excess fertilizer pellets were left on the driveway and sidewalk, a message asking him to fix it met almost a week of silence — the very thing another customer had praised him for in October 2017, when he blew the driveway clean so no pellets were left behind.
