Four large trees came down in a couple of hours, according to a recent Google review of McLellan Tree Service; the customer called the quote reasonable and said the crew left a clean site and worked around a hedge they wanted to keep. The company's website lists tree removal, emergency tree removal, stump grinding, tree cabling, pruning and trimming, and names Bristol, Farmington and Avon as its service area. A recent customer with a downed branch in the back yard said Evan came the next day, identified a couple of other issues, and the job was done within 72 hours of the first call. A recent customer had a large dead oak that was shedding limbs removed from the back yard, and orders mulch from the company too. A 2026 customer said they had run multiple toppled trees through the company and that it left things looking like they were never there. A 2024 customer praised work in a hard-to-access space and a tidy cleanup. A 2024 customer who buys mulch from the company said Evan was thorough with follow-up and communication. A 2025 customer who called for a quote to remove two small trees they had cut down themselves said the receptionist told them the company did not do tree or brush removal unless it cut the tree down, and described a condescending attitude. A 2025 reviewer said a large truck ran a red light on King Street in Bristol and that they sent dash cam footage to the Bristol police.
