Melvin Power Wash takes on deck work from power washing to full rebuilds. A recent customer said the team refinished their deck with new Trex decking, vinyl railings and new stairs, and that the team was on time and cleaned up at the end. A 2025 customer said Melvin came out to give an estimate, and that workers spent 2 days straight power washing, staining and leveling a large deck. In a 2025 review, a customer wrote that Melvin replaced all the rotten boards underneath the deck and put it back together. A 2025 customer said their deck floor was replaced within a week and all unused wood was taken away. The work goes beyond decks: a 2025 customer described a full bathroom update plus laying over 300 square feet of tile, with full demo of both areas, coming in under 3 weeks. A 2024 customer said the company serviced their gutters and was reasonably priced. In a 2021 review, a customer said they were given a written quote on the spot, and that the company power washed the deck one day and came back two days later to rebuild the stairs and water seal it. A recent customer said their deck was painted with no painter's tape, finishing nails were left exposed and the posts were not painted, and that the manager asked for more money as the process took longer. That customer said rotten wood and materials were left on the lawn, though the men who did the work were very nice and the final result was ok. A recent Google reviewer said saw blades were left in the middle of their lawn. A 2024 customer said Melvin would give a date and time for the work and then not show. In a 2022 review, a customer said Melvin installed gutters on their house in Newport, one side started to leak, and Melvin did not respond to emails and calls to fix it. A 2022 customer said they paid $700 and the gutter was still leaking, with no response to several messages. A 2021 customer said the deck came out crooked and a brand new back door was damaged.
Absolutely terrible. So many mistakes, and they won't fix them unless you chase them. They left dangerous materials (saw blades) in the middle of my lawn, tried to argue that they didn't need to fix things that clearly needed to be redone (ie. exposed finishing nails), didn't paint with painters tape, could go on and on. At the end of their job on my deck they simply left all the materials - no clean up was done whatsoever. Damaged lawn, garbage everywhere. Do not work with them.
I can't stress enough how unprofessional the service was from Melvin Power Wash. I think the men who did the actual work on my deck were very nice, and ultimately, the final result was ok. But the experience in general was terrible, and I wish Angie's List would give me more space to write about all the details. In any case, they painted horribly (no painters tape) and so we had to call them back to fix it despite their pushback, they left finishing nails exposed, they didn't paint the posts on the deck. It took so much time to simply get them to do the job right- their standard of work is just so low. As the process took longer the manager would ask me for more money, which is absurd because the job wasn't done. Finally, the cherry on top, all the rotten wood from the deck, their materials, etc. was left at my house- no clean up was done at all. There is PVC, pieces of wood, paint, etc. all over my lawn (damaged the lawn). This company is terrible- do not hire them.

This team refinished my deck with new trex decking and vinyl railings along with new stairs and it looks great. The team were extremely professional and on time and they cleaned up At the end. I would highly recommend Lisa and her crew for any job. Mitch R.
I had a completed Bathroom update from shower, tile and tile flooring. To kitchen tile floor along with the Dinning room and Hallway. The quality of work this company did was Outstanding!! From quote of project to time line. I cannot say enough about the expertise of the workers which matched their work ethic. Always making sure every detail was on point and approved by me. A full Bathroom update plus laying over 300 square feet of tile with full demo of both areas. To come under 3 weeks speaks to the diligence of their work. Every detail was 5 star and I would highly recommend this company. Along with this review will be photos of the project ( they speak for themselves)
