Its website lists recurring and one-time cleaning, move-in and move-out, deep cleaning and post-construction cleaning, names Cranston, Providence and Barrington as its service area, and says the company has been in business 40 years. On Google it holds 4.7 stars from 364 ratings. A recent reviewer said the ladies were pleasant and thorough. A 2023 customer said Melissa was especially diligent with bathrooms and the kitchen and that the cleaning was done quickly and efficiently. A 2023 reviewer described every person as professional and pleasant, from booking through cleaning. In a March 2026 Reddit thread, a poster who said they loved the work warned against Merry Maids, writing that they went over the time allotted without telling them and shook them down for double the price. In 2023, rhodeislandcurrent.com reported that Merry Maids agreed to pay $50,000 in damages to a woman who was 16 weeks pregnant when she interviewed for a house cleaner position in 2021.

I’ve been a customer of Merry Maids of Rhode Island for over 10 years, and over that time I’ve had them clean several different homes. I couldn’t be happier with their service. We have Katie come to our house every week, and she is the absolute best. She knows all of my weird little quirks and exactly how I like things done, which makes such a difference. She’s also incredibly patient and comfortable with my anxious dogs, which I greatly appreciate. Having someone I trust come into our home every week and knowing everything will be taken care is a game changer. Katie feels like a part of our family and we know how lucky we are to have found her.
