In June 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that MMG replaced their 19-year-old generator with a brand new Kohler — a job that took a new switch system inside the home, a new concrete pour, heavy equipment to move the old and new units, a temporary mid-job setup and trench-digging, all worked around a lakeside sump system that can never be shut down. "They figured it all out," the reviewer wrote. Mid Maine Generator is based in Winthrop, says it has been in business 30 years, and lists a service area running from Augusta and Waterville to Camden, Bath, Brunswick and Bridgton. It holds a 5-star Google rating from 1,569 ratings. In September 2026 a reviewer wrote that JR Segar did a tune-up and an electrical voltage adjustment with a pressure adjustment to the propane fuel, and protected the electronics and wires. Another September 2026 reviewer wrote that JR phoned about a half-hour ahead, did the annual scheduled maintenance and checked the transfer switch. In September 2026 a reviewer wrote that Chad Sylvester did a thorough job; another that Tyler helped them make a video of the steps they need to know. A September 2026 reviewer wrote that Nick explained everything he was going to do on the annual service. In August 2026 a reviewer wrote that Loden explained his work, went over several updates, cleaned the machine and ran a battery test. In May 2026 a reviewer wrote that the installation crew was on time and left work areas cleaner than they found them, but complained that no edging went in between the crushed-stone base and the lawn; in an update, the reviewer wrote that MidMaine Generator reached out and would return to box in the area with pressure-treated wood. A 4-star September 2026 reviewer asked for a couple of days' notice before a service visit. In an August 2024 Reddit post, one commenter wrote that Mid Maine is great at initial setup and its work-people are competent and professional, but that it had "absolutely failed us" on its promises after the sale.

Mid Maine Generator staff communicated clearly on what to expect and were pmeasant to deal with.
Service was performed while we were traveling. The tech called and asked if we wanted him to perform the service and we said yes. He called us back when we were done and said we were good to go. We received an invoice and details of the work done on site. Thank you. We were pleased to have the work done. The experience was professional and as thorough as it could be.
Excellent service. Prompt, professional, and quickly done. Thanks!
