Mikell Electric describes itself on Angi as a smaller company in Bethel, CT, run by a young owner, Spencer, and says it takes commercial and residential work, from service and emergency calls to wiring a new home. A recent customer called the work professional, courteous and quality work. In a 2023 review, a customer said Spencer installed a new fuse box, outside fixtures and wiring, explained the process and timeframe, and was already back for another electrical project. A 2022 customer with an infant at home said Spencer Mikell came out for an urgent smoke detector problem and was prompt and reasonably priced. A 2022 customer thanked Spencer for fiber optic wiring. A 2023 customer said the electrician vacuumed when the installation was finished. A 2023 customer said the company fixed stairwell lights after cancelling a first appointment, then was slow to answer texts, never sent a promised quote, skipped the return appointment for broken outlets and a dryer vent, and left the job half completed. A 2025 customer said their GC hired Mikell for the original electric install, and that the company worked slowly, was slow to respond, missed a planned meeting and left the job partially done. It holds an active Connecticut E1 electrical licence, ELC.0207134-E1, under Spencer A Mikell.
Professional, courteous, and did quality work.
They did an excellent job!
My GC hired Mikell for the original electric install. At a couple of the consultations, they didn't have much of an opinion/advice on where to place/wire certain items, worked slowly, were slow to respond, and eventually stood up a planned meeting with my wife and me and left the job partially done with no further communication via text about why.
