Mr. Gomes Construction

An August 2026 homeowner brought in Mr. Gomes Construction to replace siding that was badly worn and peeling, and what they dwelt on wasn't the siding: the team was easy to work with, showed up when expected, and kept the area surprisingly tidy. The company works out of Northborough and says Dioclecio Gomes started it in 2003 and that it stays family-owned and operated. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, HIC 192850, is active on the state registry under Dioclecio Gomes Inc. The service area it lists runs across Central Massachusetts — Worcester, Framingham, Marlborough, Shrewsbury, Westborough, Leominster, Fitchburg, Hudson, Southborough and Hopkinton. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, flooring, painting, roofing and siding are all on the list, and Thumbtack counts 22 projects. Other customers describe the same things as the siding homeowner. Another August 2026 reviewer had a crew that was on time and respectful, worked quickly, answered questions along the way, and finished at a price close to what they had been quoted. A May 2026 reviewer called the company reliable and transparent and praised the communication from quote through completion, and a Thumbtack customer the same month said the crew kept the house clean while working. Both platforms sit at the top of the scale: 5 stars from 4 Google ratings, and 5.0 from 5 ratings on Thumbtack, which also lists the company as background checked. For a siding replacement, a kitchen or bath, or a basement finish in the Northborough–Worcester corridor, this is a small family crew with an active state registration behind it. Get the scope and payment schedule in writing, and confirm which parts of the job the crew handles itself and which go to subcontractors.
