In June 2026 a customer on the waterline project in Embden wrote that heavy downpours hit about 25 minutes after they finished the customer's yard on a Friday, and they called Monday about washout. They got an immediate apology, contact to the owner, Scott, and a call back within 2 hours explaining they would be out the following day to fix the issue; the customer wrote that they have done everything you can imagine to make sure the problem was taken care of, and thanked the workers on the project for being patient with their questions and their hostas. Nitram Excavation & General Contractor Inc. is on Neck Rd in Benton, Maine, and Google shows 4.2 stars from 9 ratings. In a May 2022 review, a customer who owns two campgrounds in Rockport wrote that in 2021 Nitram did excavation on busy Route 1 right in front of their Megunticook Campground by the Sea location, keeping their business unaffected, and praised the restoration afterward and Alex's professional manner. The night before that review, Nitram was excavating 6 ft to lay pipe across Rt 1 for the campground's future sewer connection, and Leroy kept them informed. In a January 2023 one-star review, a resident on the Monk Road asked Nitram to stop hitting mailboxes when it plows, writing that the plow knocked their mailbox off its post in the first storm, then hit the post, and also hit their mother's box.
I just want to talk about a negatuve experience that turned into a positive experience due to quick action and response. I truly appreciate you guys. The waterline project in Embden has come through and due to this, there was obviously some excavation work. There were also heavy downpours about 25 minutes after they finished our yard, on a Friday. Needless to say, I called Monday due to some washout. Immediate apology and contact to the owner, Scott. I received a call back within 2 hours explaining they would be out the following day to fix the issue. ABOVE AND BEYOND!! They have done everything you can imagine to make sure the problem was taken care of. I also want to thank the guys during the project that were patient with our questions, curious eyes and hostas!! Your work flow goes off without a hitch and you guys are good at what you do. Thanks for your hard work!
Could you please stop hitting mailboxes on the Monk Road when you plow? I mean how hard is that. Y'all hit it the first storm, knocked it off my post. Before I could have it put back up, you hit my post. This was the new one I had to put up cause it got destroyed from last year. It's not that hard to avoid. Last night y'all even hit my Mom's box knocking it off the post. Some people are on fixed incomes.
We own two campgrounds in Rockport Maine. In 2021 Nitram was tasked with excavation on busy Route 1 right in front of our Megunticook Campground by the Sea location. Suffice to say, our concern over peak traffic and acces to our driveway was considerable. Nitram was absolutely outstanding, maintaining a professional and courteous and communicative manor ensuring our business was not affected whatsoever. For this, and the professional nature of Alex, we are forever grateful. The restoration following their work was outstanding. It has taken me until 2022 to write this review. Last night Nitram continued the sewer project excavating 6 ft to lay pipe across Rt 1 for our future connection. We had the pleasure of meeting Leroy who was very gracious to keep us informed and educated. Alex and Leroy and every member of the Nitram team have treated us with a great deal of respect and courteous attention. This kind of culture has to stem from the top down. Absolutely five stars is warranted for this team of hard-working men and women.
I can’t say enough good things about this company. Top-notch work and excellent customer service.
