Northeast Piano Movers is the kind of moving company people call for the awkward, high-stakes part of a move: getting a piano through stairs, tight corners, and finished rooms without damage. The business is based at 1755 Boston Road in Springfield, and its recent Google reviews repeatedly describe piano deliveries, setups, removals, and storage work handled on time and with care. The written record is unusually consistent. Recent customers describe crews protecting stairs and floors, positioning instruments until the placement felt right, handling grand pianos, and communicating about timing before arrival. One May review described a difficult move through shrubs and narrow stone steps; another praised a long-distance delivery into a home and the crew's handling of logistics. Thumbtack lists a 5.0 average from 32 ratings and 60 hires, while Google lists 4.9 from 64 ratings. There is one piece of contrary information worth asking about. A May 29 Google reviewer gave one star after observing what they described as rude and disrespectful communication between coworkers; that review concerns workplace conduct rather than the reviewer's piano move. It is a specific outlier in an otherwise strongly positive set, but it is fair to ask who will handle the move and how coordination works. For a piano delivery, removal, setup, or storage job where careful routing matters, the customer accounts point toward a strong fit. Confirm the instrument type, stairs and access points, placement expectations, timing, and whether storage is part of the quote before booking.
The crew did a perfect job delivering and setting up our new piano.
I wish I could give this company 10 stars. The crew called before they came, showed up exactly when they said they would, and were exceptionally careful, polite, and most of all, helpful. We had a somewhat restricted spot to place the piano, and were unsure where to place the keyboard (left or right). The crew lead astutely pointed out that having the lid open towards the room would provide better acoustics, and worked tirelessly to ensure that the placement was perfect. The team even helped us move around some of the other furniture in the room, making suggestions along the way that were very helpful. I've had many moves, and this one, by far, is the best ever. Don't hesitate to use Northeast - you will not be disappointed.
We had a very good experience with the delivery of our new piano! The men were were all very respectful, friendly, and careful!!! They worked quickly, and solved the space issues from their obvious experience. We were very greatful for their careful attention to every detail!! Highly recommend them!
As good as it gets. On time, amicable, competent, professional, skilled, strong, smooth, and confidence-inspiring are the descriptors that come to mind. I could not want or imagine a better moving experience for my piano. And beyond the move itself, Audrey, who arranges and coordinates it all, is superb. Full stop.
It was a great experience. The team was very professional and exceptionally helpful in moving our new piano and assembling it and setting it up for us. It was a joy to have new Piano and they were very helpful. Special Shout out to the team leader Bean.
