Northshore Landscape and Sealcoating is a two-person Salem operation run by Phil Lohnes out of Jefferson Ave. The BBB dates the business to 2005 and grades it A+. The yard work runs with the season — lawn maintenance, fertilization, pruning, edging and mulching, seasonal and storm clean-ups — and widens into driveway sealcoating, snow plowing, and attic and basement clean outs. What customers wrote is all from 2017, and it splits. That September, a reviewer called the price reasonable and said Lohnes himself was easy to reach with questions. Two others that year were angry: in April, a reviewer said the workers damaged and left debris on a neighbor's vehicle; in November, a buyer disputed the amount of seasoned firewood delivered and said the Town of Saugus Weights and Measures sealer came out and measured it. For lawn upkeep or a driveway seal around Salem, deal with Lohnes directly — that is what the good 2017 review pointed to — and put the quantities, the scope and who cleans up in writing before the work starts.
